Bloemer's Chile Base was first made in 1919 by Frank B. Bloemer, Sr. in the back of his neighborhood grocery store. The people from the neighborhood began using the base to make their chile and took a great liking to the product.

As years went by, the demand for Bloemer's Famous Chile Base grew significantly and the company started manufacturing it and selling it to other grocery stores.

Today, the popularity of the product continues to grow and Frank Bloemer's grandson, Larry Bloemer, Jr., oversees the manufacturing of Bloemer's Famous Chile Base to ensure that it still has that unique Bloemer flavor.

Bloemer's also manufactures chile powder, taco seasoning, shredded beef with barbecue sauce and shredded pork with barbecue sauce (see our products page).
